During the months of August and September
2011 the Plantdoctor was localized for
house-calls in the Schinkelwijk in Amsterdam.
If you had a plant at home and made contact
with the Doctor he could come over to create
a moment of attention dedicated to the plant,
and revive the plant-kingdom by simply
praizing the precense of the houseplants.
You were fully able to join in on
the ceremony, but you were also free to
let the plant speak to the Doctor alone.

Take your Plants on plantgrimage; visit the temporal shrine.
18 September 2011 - the Plant Shrine in Amsterdam.
on 18 September this year a temporal shrine will be erected in the small park near busstop Haarlemmermeerstraat. And you are all invited to bring your plants there. There will be music, dance, meditation and other celebratory ceremonial behaviour relating the plants in the area.You are invited to let the plants join the ceremony. So bring all you can (!) and sit down to tune to the music of the spheres, and to the sounds of the plantworld.

the PlantDoctor is in Town is a project by visual and physical researcher Jasper Griepink and is supported by the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts and also by the glorious natural surroundings of the Planet. the Plantdoctor project was part of the Art along the Quay Manifestation by Soledad Senlle Gallery in 2011. In 2012 the Plantdoctor also visited The Epicenter for the Contemporary Urban Wizard Practice at Roodkapje RoTTTerdam. The project has no finite ending yet. As do all things. © Jasper Griepink.
